The GATHERING

The GATHERING are the feature musicians on both ABC Music ‘Celtic Music for Children’ releases by Mick McHugh.

All songs have been reimagined by the Irish/Australian Troubadour Mick McHugh, founding member of the hugely successful band ‘The Gathering’ and produced by ARIA award winning Damien Leith.

A contemporary re-imagining of Celtic songs for the young, and young at heart alike.

The GATHERING Irish Band is fronted by award winning Irish singer-songwriter Mick McHugh. The band pride themselves on seeing their audiences having fun with their energetic Irish trad tunes and songs, blended with an array of popular covers.

The GATHERING brings together some great contemporary Irish-Australian musicianship to put their unique stamp on Irish music. They have recorded for ABC Music, toured internationally, and entertained at major festivals such as Port Fairy Folk Fest, Australian Celtic Fest and CelticFest Warwick.

The GATHERING gig weekly at their two residency gigs, ‘Finn McCool’s’ in Surfers Paradise & ‘Irish Murphy’s’ Brisbane. They have played over 800 shows at these venues. They are available for weddings and private parties.
